Amaretto french toast
Ingredients/Components
- eggs - 6 item
- salt - 1/4 tsp
- brown sugar - 1/4 c
- nutmeg - 1/8 tsp
- almond extract - 1/2 tsp
- heavy cream - 1/2 c
- slices French bread 1 1/2 inches thick - 6 item
- amaretto liquor - 2 Tbsp
How to make amaretto french toast:
Place the French bread slices in a 9 x 13 inch baking pan. Mix together well the eggs, salt, brown sugar, almond extract, amaretto, nutmeg and heavy cream. Pour over the French bread. Cover the pan and refrigerate overnight. Next morning fry in butter on griddle over medium heat and serve with maple syrup.Recipe categories: Eggs/dairy, Egg, Breakfast.
