Almost stuffed cabbage
Ingredients/Components
- water - 1/2 c
- medium onion - 1 item
- cheese - 1 item
- ground meat - 1 lb
- can cream of mushroom soup - 1 item
- shredded cabbage - 2 c
- rice - 1 c
- medium bell pepper - 1 item
- sliced sausage - 1/2 lb
- can pasta-style tomatoes - 1 item
How to make almost stuffed cabbage:
Cook sausage and ground meat in skillet and drain. Put bell pepper and onion with meat mixture; cook a few seconds and drain. Add tomatoes; cook with water and cabbage. Add salt and pepper to taste. Cook 15 minutes; lid on. Cook rice in separate pot, then add to mixture. Cook 5 more minutes. Slice in 1-inch slices. Wedge a slice of cheese in each slice and pour cream of mushroom soup in and bake until hot and melted.Recipe categories: Low sodium, Side dish, Vegetables.
