Almond chicken



  • sugar - 1/2 Tbsp
  • cornstarch - 4 Tbsp
  • water
  • vegetable oil - 1 Tbsp
  • egg - 1 item
  • soy sauce - 2 Tbsp
  • carrots - 1 c
  • celery - 1 c
  • Accent - 1 Tbsp
  • can water chestnuts - 1 item
  • broccoli - 1 c
  • raw chicken - 3 c
  • can bamboo shoots - 1 item
  • salt and garlic - 1/2 Tbsp

How to make almond chicken:

Chop chicken into bite-size pieces. Mix 2 tablespoons cornstarch and egg by hand into chicken. Add vegetable oil to give chicken a glazed look. Put enough oil in skillet to cover chicken. Make oil hot. Add chicken and stir-fry until done. Add vegetables and stir for 2 minutes. Drain excess oil. Combine water, garlic salt, sugar, Accent and soy sauce. Add to chicken mixture. Bring to a boil. Mix 2 tablespoons cornstarch with a little water. Add to sauce and thicken. Put in a dish and top with almonds.
