Almond burgers
Ingredients/Components
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- garlic powder - 1/2 tsp
- sage - 1/4 tsp
- small onion, diced - 1 item
- lemon peel - 1 tsp
- thyme - 1/2 tsp
- sweet basil - 1/4 tsp
- almonds, ground - 2 c
- parsley, freshly chopped - 4 tsp
- brown rice, cooked with salt - 2/3 c
- whole wheat bread crumbs or 1/2 crumbs and 1/2 bran - 1 c
- tomato soup undiluted - 4 Tbsp
How to make almond burgers:
Combine ingredients and form into patties. Fry in lightly oiled skillet until brown. While browning, heat 2 cans of tomato soup, diluted with 1 can water in a pan. When patties are brown, turn into the tomato sauce and let simmer for 10 to 15 minutes. Serve with mashed potatoes and salad. Serves 4 to 6.Recipe categories: Lunch/snacks, Fruit, Sandwich.
