Ingredients/Components
- salt - 1/4 tsp
- pepper - 1/8 tsp
- grated Parmesan cheese - 1/2 c
- heavy or whipping cream - 1 c
- 1/4 stick butter - 2 Tbsp
How to make alfredo sauce:
Heat cream to boiling. Reduce heat to medium. Stir in 1/4 cup Parmesan. Add butter, a little at a time, stirring as you add. Add salt and pepper. Makes 1 1/4 cups sauce, enough for 1/2 pound of pasta. Sprinkle the other 1/4 cup Parmesan over pasta.Sauteed chicken fillets cut in small pieces may be added. Adding 1 package of frozen Italian or California vegetables will give you "Pasta Primavera."
