7-up pound cake

Ingredients/Components

• sugar - 3 c
• eggs - 5 item
• flour - 3 c
• sticks margarine - 2 item
• lemon extract - 1 tsp
• bottle 7-Up - 1 oz
• Crisco solid - 1/2 c

How to make 7-up pound cake:

Cream margarine and shortening with sugar. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Add lemon. Mix. Add flour and 7-Up alternately, beating after each addition.

Bake in a greased and floured 10-inch tube pan at 300° for 1 1/2 hours or until cake tests done. You may use 2 loaf pans, but bake shorter time.
