Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 2 c
- chopped nuts - 2 c
- flour - 5 c
- buttermilk - 1 qt
- chopped dates - 2 c
- baking soda - 5 tsp
- boiling water - 2 c
- shortening - 1 c
- bran flakes - 2 c
- all-bran - 4 c
How to make 6-week bran muffins:
Add soda to boiling water; let cool. Cream the shortening and add sugar, then add eggs one at a time. Stir in buttermilk, flour and salt. Add water-soda mixture. Stir in all-bran, bran flakes, dates and nuts. Store in covered container in refrigeratoRecipe categories: Breads, Quick breads, Muffins.
