- celery, diced - 1/2 c
- green pepper, chopped - 1/2 c
- Cheddar cheese, grated - 1/2 c
- red onion, chopped - 1/2 c
- sugar substitute - 1 item
- head lettuce - 1 item
- bacon slices, cooked and crumbled - 8 item
- imitation bacon bits - 1 item
- low-fat cheese - 1 item
- frozen green peas, uncooked - 1 pkg
- To reduce calories and fat, use following substitutions: fat free mayonnaise
How to make 24 hour salad:
To reduce calories and fat, use following substitutions: fat free mayonnaise sugar substitute low-fat cheese imitation bacon bits Remove outer lettuce leaves; tear head into bite size pieces. Arrange in 13 x 9-inch glass pan. Add celery, onion, green pepper and green peas. Combine mayonnaise and sugar; drop by spoonfuls over greens. Do not mix. Top with cheese and bacon.
